Investment and Securities Department ...

Since its inception in 1978, the Investment & Securities Department’s main goal has been to contribute intensively in maximizing the bank’s returns through investing in strategic investments, private equity and capital market. The department also monitors closely and regularly the performance of the existing investments and funds in order to provide a deep vision and assist decision making processes.

The Investment & Securities Department perform the following tasks:  

  • Direct investment (Participating in new projects by contributing in the establishing of these projects).
  • Direct investment (Participating in existing companies through contributing in the capital increase and / or buying an existing share in these companies)
  • Indirect investment (trading in the Egyptian Stock Market)
  • Establishing new funds

Product Offerings:

The Investment & Securities Department has successfully launched the following Funds:

Banque Du Caire’s First Fund (Equity cumulative fund)

Established in 1995 with a size of 100 million Egyptian pounds and is considered one of the largest funds in the Egyptian market 

Banque Du Caire’s Second Fund (Money market fund)

The fund is in Egyptian pounds and invests in short-term financial instruments. 

Al Wefaq Shariah Compliant Investment Fund with Cumulative Returns

Established on the 21st of August 2011, the fund invests in the financial tools that are shariah compliant.

"Al Thabet" Fixed Income Fund
